Leitað eftir sérfræðingum til starfa á kynningarmiðstöð ESB AP almannatengsl hafa verið valin í lokaúrtak vegna útboðs á rekstri kynningarmiðstöðvar fyrir Evrópusambandið (ESB) hér á landi í samstarfi við fyrirtækið Congress Service Center. Áætlað er að miðstöðin taki til starfa í mars 2011.
AP almannatengsl auglýsa eftir tveimur sérfræðingum til starfa á væntanlegri kynningarmiðstöð ESB. Ráðið verður í störfin ef fyrirtækið verður fyrir valinu í útboðinu. Eftirfarandi eru upplýsingar um umrædd störf, en leitað er eftir einstaklingum með mikla kunnáttu í ensku, bæði töluðu og rituðu máli.
Key expert 1: PR and events manager – indicative minimum 220 working days The PR and events manager will be responsible for management of Public Relations at EU InfoCentre as well as for the management of all EU related events, organised inside and outside the InfoCentre.
The PR and events manager will assist the Project Manager and the Director of the InfoCentre with the smooth running and timely implementation of the project. Qualifications and skills • university degree (communications or journalism is an advantage) • excellent organisational and interpersonal skills • excellent ability to work in a team • experience in ensuring good client communication • ability to work under time pressure, flexibility, reliability • fluency in written and spoken English, knowledge of Icelandic will be an advantage • previous work experience with communications in public affairs (minimum 3 years)
General professional experience • minimum three years of experience in organising public events, seminars, conferences, trainings and other similar activities • knowledge of EU policies, systems and processes • good knowledge of the socio-economic and political structure of Iceland (government, public institutions, media and civil society organisations)
Specific professional experience • participation in at least 2 similar projects (political communication activities aimed at the general public and/or management of an Information Centre) over the last 5 years • experience in working with such target groups and/or multipliers as civil society, media, academics, business, government, among others • knowledge of networking practices with information providers and multipliers
Key expert 2: Public Information Officer – indicative minimum 220 working days The Public Information Officer will be responsible for the implementation of the day-to-day activities of the EU InfoCentre including the provision of information to visitors; answering questions received from the public; media monitoring and providing press reviews; media relations; updating the Q&A knowledge database etc.
Qualifications and skills
• university degree in communications, journalism or related field • excellent organisational and interpersonal skills • excellent ability to work in a team • experience in ensuring good client communication • ability to work under time pressure, flexibility and reliability • fluency in spoken and written Icelandic and English
General professional experience • minimum three years of experience in management of customers, responding to queries or providing helpdesk services • good knowledge about EU integration processes, particularly in relation to Iceland • good knowledge of the socio-economic and political structure of Iceland (government, public institutions, media and civil society organisations)
Specific professional experience • participation in at least 2 public relations projects over the last 5 years • knowledge of networking practices with information providers and multipliers
